New Students

New Students:




  • new students can come watch a class or join at any time of the year
  • please come for 7:15 p.m. any Tues. or Thurs. to meet a teacher before class begins
  • for students who wish to join, a 2-month commitment is required.


Adult Classes

Tuesday: 7:30-9:00 p.m.
Thursday: 7:30-9:00 p.m.
Friday: 7:00-8:00 p.m.




Tues. / Thurs. taught by Michael Kimeda Sensei (7th degree black belt), David Sloan Sensei (6th degree black belt), and John Corr Sensei (4th degree black belt). 
Fri. taught by Kimeda Sensei (9th degree black belt) and is only open to students who have passed their first test. 

Junior students partner with senior students or other junior students to learn fundamentals, including stretching, joint locks, and throws.

Techniques are taught step-by-step so that students learn the details that make the techniques effective. Students will be introduced to basic rolls, breakfalls, and, eventually, flipping.
